Glenn Beck: Hoisted on His Own Petard

I don’t follow Glenn Beck. I tried listening to his radio show a few years ago and decided that I’d rather listen to retards humming “Green Onions”. I have no use for hyperbole from messianic demagogues.

Pay particular attention to how he frames his arguments. He doesn’t support anything with facts. He simply makes a statement that Obama is trying to destroy the Republic then lists every initiative his Administration is trying to pass. He then “supports” his position with a quote from a movie! This is a textbook “ad hominem” argument. It’s not good logic and is a perfect example of how he’s stoking the fires of hysteria.

In the interests of fairness, I will also say that Obama is a master of avoiding specificity. I particularly loved his campaign speeches where he brazenly glazed over any real positions and focused on happy hippie feelings and hope for hope will give us hope so we can go on hoping. Neither party has a monopoly on nonsense.
